Face Junky – Put Your Best Face Forward For The New Year

There are a lot of cosmetic stores, and a lot of stores that sell cosmetics. They may not seem like they are different than a cosmetic boutique, but they are. A cosmetics boutique is a small store dedicated to selling you what’s best for your face and your skin. They are not just trying to sell you the most expensive bronzer or the priciest lip-gloss.

Face Junky is that boutique. They are all about helping clients discover what is best for them and their skin tone, type, and facial structure.

Face Junky is a fabulous place if you want an intimate experience. This cool shop is something that young girls, men and women can enjoy.  Two ambitious women (Hope Finch and Debbie Deiger) took a leap of faith and created an atmosphere where patrons can receive personal consultations and customized products that fit YOUR needs.  Ever wanted to try a new cosmetic product at the mall but you didn’t want everyone looking at you? Face Junky has thoughtfully created private rooms where you can go in looking your worst and leave looking and feeling your best.

What really made this place stand out, for me, was the staff. Debbie, one of the owners, wasn’t just an owner who sat back and watched… she had researched every product in the building, knew all about the creators of the products, even met some of them. She had gone to classes and traveled to be involved in every aspect of the business. She knew all there was to know about every bottle of foundation or pack of eye shadow in that store.

Dara was the other person we met that day. She is their full time resident make-up artist. More than the fancy make-up and the beautiful displays, she was my favorite. What good is make-up if you don’t apply it right? What good is owning dark eye shadow if you can’t make a smoky eye?! Well she has the knowledge to help you do anything you want to your face. She knows what make up goes with what facial structure and how to align it so it makes your eyes look bigger, smaller, brighter, darker, sexier, anything you can imagine. In my opinion, make-up stores are no good unless there is someone who can help you purchase and apply the right things for you. Face Junky was all of that and more. I was completely pleased with our visit and will definitely be going back.

The coolest thing about Face Junky is that you can’t find their products at every retail store. If you like unique, custom and high quality products Face Junky is the place to go.  I also loved Face Junky’s menu of party options! I’m always looking for different spots to have fun events and this is a perfect place for a Girls Night Out, Princess Party, a benefit, etc.

One product I really loved (bought some for stocking stuffers) is the Poo Pourri spray.  If you have a loved one that doesn’t care where they go potty (a friend’s house, restaurant, public facility), this natural spray will cut bathroom odors.  Poo Pourri is small enough to fit in your purse, car, etc.  Face Junky has created a yummy line of candles! The candle smells so good I don’t want to burn it but I love the scent.  Dara, Face Junky makeup artist, was very nice, informative and personable.  Did you know that sleeping with makeup ages your skin by seven days?  Well if you’re like me I have no interest in getting older sooner. Dara was full of insight and tips…she’s very engaging!

In closing I just want to say that I admire Hope and Debbie for bringing such a cool boutique to the area.  When Debbie gave us our tour you could tell that she was sincerely happy we were there and she was so excited to share all the cool products in her store.  When you have passion for something it’s contagious and I caught the Face Junky bug.  It’s important to support small business but it makes it easier for someone to love your products when we can see that you love what you are providing.  I ask that you support these awesome ladies today…call, fan their page, visit and book a party.  Send them some Local Love and try a new look or regimen just for the fun of it.  #FJF (Face Junky Fan)

When life is hectic and all you want is some papering, head on over to Face junky! I was impressed with the variety of upscale products that these lovely ladies had to offer. Who would not love a chic stylish shop that caters to every women’s needs from nails to lips and moisturizing to fragrant candles?!

I even found some fun stuff for my daughter. Jayme’s smoky eyes rocked and the expertise they had with skin types and colors was amazing! I can’t imagine buying makeup anywhere else! For your special day or just because let face junky help you look and feel beautiful!

Jen:

I really didn’t have any expectations upon arriving at Face Junky. I wasn’t really sure what to expect. The appearance outside was a neat old building in the historical downtown Perrysburg. I love all of these buildings. They have such character. Once you step foot inside it is decorated so fashionably: Pink/Black and fancy make-up stations. Not a large crowd as you would find in department stores and music was playing at a reasonable sound…okay, now I am sounding old!

The owners, Hope Finch and Debbie Deiger, are friends with a passion for cosmetics and making women look beautiful. Hope unfortunately was unable to be there, but Debbie gave us a tour of the store front and the products. She was so helpful and knowledgeable; you could truly tell that this was a passion of hers.

Skin is our biggest organ, so it is important to take care of it! Face Junky is first and foremost a cosmetics retail store with products not found at other boutiques and stores in the region. It is a place to come and play with new makeup trends and styles as well as a place to develop your own classic look.

Of course I had to make a purchase!!! I chose the two products by Exuviance, the hydrating eye complex and CoverBlend Multi-Function Concealer. Yes folks, I am attempting to cover up those black circles from lack of sleep! I LOVE both products and had a fantastic experience.

Jayme:

I had a photo shoot later in the day so I wanted to experience what it would be like to have one of their makeup artists do my makeup. I was so impressed! Dara was perfection. She listened to my needs and the colors that I like and she made it work.

She also gave me some great tips for my skin, such as using a facial scrub to help with the dry skin that I was starting to experience from the weather changing. I was concerned that a scrub would irritate my skin or make me break out, but I am happy to say that ever since I started using a facial scrub my skin has made a huge improvement.

Dara has such an engaging personality! Debbie is also such a warm person with such a friendly disposition. Walking into Face Junky makes me feel like I am home! I have never felt so comfortable getting a makeover. I almost didn’t want to leave.

Face Junky is located at 123 Louisiana Ave, Perrysburg, OH 43551.
